Jewish Deadheads or Deadhead Jews

Hosted by R. Steve Schwartz. It is estimated that Jewish fans make up about 20 - 30% of the overall Deadhead population, a significantly higher number than their standard 2% of the total population. Why are so many Jews Deadheads? What is it about the music and culture of the Grateful Dead that has historically drawn Jews 'onto the bus?' Come and join us as we listen to some music, discuss, share some stories from the road, and maybe even come to some kind of shared understanding about why so many Deadheads are Jews.

Accessibility: The Museum building, including the family and all-gender single-stall bathroom, is wheelchair accessible. Masks are welcome but not required. Complimentary masks will be available for anyone who would like one. Noise-reducing headphones and earplugs are available upon request at the front desk. Parking: Street-side parking is available, including in the parking lot located directly across the street from the Museum building. Please be sure to check parking signs and parking spot markings.
